MES A S Sreen
Hi All,
I am a newbey to Motor-homing and I have just bought a Sigma EL.
My problem is the screen on the MES screen is blue but nearly unreadable, it is black writing on a blue background, but very hard to read, I am wondering if possibly one of the backlight bulbs has blown, if so can I replace with a new bulb, or is there anything else i can try.
Thanks in advance for any advice.

They have a Lithium back up battery which may need replacing (they have a 4 year life expectancy). Or give MES a call...

The screen is hard to read at the best of times, I use a torch even in daylight. The good news is that a blue screen means all is well with batteries and electrics.I Go Anywhere wrote:Hi All,

I have replaced the battery in my unit and it is simple and not expensive.

Thanks for the advice mcalid, at least I know that the screen is hard to read by default, you say you have renewed the battery, does the screen surround just unclip ?. Thanks again.

Just pinch the grey plastic surround with a flat headed screw driver, the surround should come away to reveal a couple of screws, undue these and the unit is easy removed to replace the wee flat battery, if required.

Just be careful that the MES is more of a guide than 100% accurate but very useful in monitoring your batteries, you will soon get the hang of it.
Happy camping.

If you press in the middle of the screen when the clock is displayed it will give you a menu screen. Top right icon should be setup, select that and it will give you a second menu screen. Top right on that screen should be backlight and that will let you change the colour. Press RET from both screens to get home.
