Hello from NW Kent
Hi
I'm a bit late posting! Back in July we bought our first campervan - an Autosleeper Duetto - 2004 so quite old like us. We love it. Our first trip was quite ambitious - the Outer Hebrides back in August which went really well. We wild camped just once but I think we prefer to hook up to electricity so on the next trip to Cornwall & Devon we stayed at regular sites. We did a Britstop in Suffolk a few weekends ago where they had EHU which was ideal. We can't wait to do some more travels - Orkney Islands next year hopefully. And I do all the driving too as he indoors doesn't

Re: Hello from NW Kent
Hi, aev, and welcome.
The Outer Hebrides are great and, of course, Cornwall & Devon are superb!
If you’re going to Orkney, I recommend you do the extra hop to Shetland as well. The overnight ferry from Kirkwall to Lerwick is a pleasant experience although wind speeds in the 40s made the last trip interesting.
PS. Be aware of the need to reverse onto the Pentland Ferry on the Gills Bay/St Margaret's Hope crossing. Northlink to/from Scrabster/Stromness is more civilised. Sing out if you’d like any sites info etc.
