New battery for Neuvo
Just wondered whether a ordinary garage could replace or would it be better to go to a motorhome repairer.
I'm concerned a garage may not know about it charging up when hooked up.
Any advice please?

Just for leisure battery replacement? I would simply use an ordinary backstreet garage, buying the battery in advance (so you definitely get the type you want) from Tayna or somewhere similar.
The problem with going to a motorhome specialist is that they are likely to be booked up for months to come. Provided you are sticking with the same type of battery there is no specialist knowledge required.

Hi sorry forgot to mention that it's the vehicle battery not the leisure one.

For a replacement vehicle battery I would go down exactly the same route as when replacing the battery in a car. You do not need a motorhome specialist for that.

As a member of the RAC I used their at home battery replacement service when my vehicle battery died. Although maybe a bit more expensive than other methods the convenience was worth it to me. The technician hooked up my old battery and the check did indeed show it was dud.
I believe you can use this service even if not a member, it just costs you a bit more.

Last time I changed the vehicle battery on the van was when the old one struggled to start when leaving an aire in Oban. I just drove up to the nearest Kwik fit garage and they fitted a like for like new one there and then on their forecourt.

Agreed - Halfords will do the same for a small fee. The only potential problem with either of those is that you can end up in the hands of very inexperienced staff. You might not - and I have in the past come across really good staff at both - but there is no way of knowing before you get there!bikeralw wrote:I just drove up to the nearest Kwik fit garage and they fitted a like for like new one there and then on their forecourt.

If you are in the CAMC you might get a 10% discount from Halfords
