Re: MMM October edition
I saw that item as well. Didn’t realise they were doing a Transit based model. Although the report says it’s in production nothing on the AS website. Even the “News” section make no mention.

Re: MMM October edition
It was originally advertised to be in the September mag, then in the September mag it was advertised to be in the October mag. Have AS actually managed to make one for them to test?

Re: MMM October edition
Perhaps they are waiting for Marquis to organise it. Which as we know, takes months. And months.

Re: MMM October edition
Brief write up in MMM . Only available through Marquis for first 12 months. It is a pop top as I predicted. Short wheelbase Transit Custom Kombi in Trend spec. Price starting just under £60k.
Diesel heating, lithium leisure battery, Thule awning, solar panel, underfloor 15 litre gas tank, alloys and metallic paint. German pop top with roof bed on plastic springs. Rear seat/bed comes with three seatbelts and Isofix mountings for two child seats.
AS has taken an extra unit on the industrial site in order to produce up to 100 examples. Full review in Nov issue.

Re: MMM October edition
It seems odd timing, given that Ford themselves have only just introduced their own Transit-based pop-top camper conversion.
[You must be registered and logged in to see this link.]
Just weird that they should choose to launch theirs right now, when there have been many years when there would have been little competition...

Not my cup of tea. Surprised AS have staff to expand to another factory.

Being a Ford fan this might be a step towards other models. Not that they will produce anything in my price bracket these days.

Re: MMM October edition
Still no full review of the new Air, now MMM say it will be in December issue. If I was looking to buy, I'd have gone to a different make by now.
