purchased an autosleeper symbol 2008 and love it. Have had several trips away with no problem but sadly on this last trip no hot water on either mains or leisure battery. Initially on turning the tap on the water is warm then goes cold. I would appreciate any thoughts, thanks

Re: New member.
You will never get hot water powered by the 12v leisure battery. The water heater works on either 240v or gas in most cases.
Oh, and welcome.

Re: New member.
Thanks for your reply Tim, I tried it on the gas and nothing happened. I’m wondering because of the age whether it needs a new heating element if that’s how it works.

Re: New member.
Welcome . You need 12v for gas ignition. You may have to tell us what type of heater it is, Ultrastor/ultraheat or Truma Combi. I hope for your sake its not a Combi because I've just had new elements put in mine, see thread in 'van conversions' entitled Truma Combi repair that I posted yesterday.

Re: New member.
Goodmorning, Paul, the heater is a trauma ultrastore. I assume my leisure battery is 12 volt and I also have a solar panel to keep it topped up( I think!) it’s strange that for a few seconds it’s quite hot then becomes cold. I have run the water using a full tank of water as Some say that it takes a while for it to become hot but no luck.
