Hello from Colchester
Hello everyone from Vikki & Dave (some might call him reluctant Dave ..van purchase definitely driven by me and my little hippy daydreams of drinking tea and looking at the sea through the open doors🥰)
Purchased our lovely Renee Symphony last Sunday from mum-in-laws neighbours. (It’s a Peugeot Boxer Autosleeper Symphony).
They’d had for 10 years and travelled 30,000 miles, so I’ve booked her in for a full service and cam belt change on Tuesday and phoning around for habitation check today.
I will spend the day reading the manual and trying to work out how everything works..not sure they used the water tank / heating much etc!? So any advice gratefully received!
We owned a caravan when the children were smaller, 10 years ago or so, which we left on site at a farm in Thorpe Le Soken and would travel up from east London for weekends over a couple years, but sold it when we moved to Colchester. I then bought a VW 1983 camper off eBay on a whim...our lovely Doris...we did manage a few lovely day trips and one holiday in Devon however she ended up being more broken down than running and the joke on Facebook would be us returning home on the back of a breakdown truck, so she had to go...hence you can perhaps understand poor Daves reluctance haha!!
Anyway I’m hopeful of great new adventures ..with the added luxury of an emergency loo!! Hurrah!!
Happy Saturday in the rain chaps!!
