I  (we) have been chosen to test the new C&CC Camping in the Forest site at Sherwood Pines. 6 nights free holiday. Never won a free holiday before (although have won free weekend at a Warners show). Its from 13th May for 6 nights, toilet block opens on 17th.
Did anyone else apply and been selected (chosen) for this site or Braithwaite  Village which is their other new site.?
I'll put a report in campsite reviews afterwards.

Having the Truma combi hopefully fixed on the 11th (staying night before and after at Clent Hills) so will be off to Sherwood from there.

Nice one Paul. We only went to the old site they had in Clumber Park once,in our Tugging Days and the access wasnt brilliant so stuck with the C&MC site

I applied for the Braithwaite site, but I didn’t win!  Congratulations.

Without hijacking the thread can I ask what type of problem you’re having with the combi and where you are having it fixed.

There seems to be no difference  between  electric 1 &2 settings as regards heat output, so could be one element blown or could be pcb , damned expensive whatever it is. Taking it to AEG Stourbridge (we bought it there and they seem only one we tried who want to do the job). Truma couldn't  get us in until July, Spinney never replied and my normal mobile guy never got back to me.
Despite AS fitting these things they are not approved Truma repair engineers and told me to try Truma.

I'm puzzled on how I managed to get an appointment with Truma in a couple of weeks" time! But agree that it's bl••πy expensive
