Hi All
Good Evening all
Today we paid the deposit on a 1998 AS Talisman - based on a Peugeot Boxer 2.5.
Its the seemingly rare version with dual diners either side.
We are assuming the finance will go through within a couple of days (Weekends are a pain as regards the banks) and we simply cant wait
We have been without a van for roughly a year - cos we sold our old Dethleffs 'A' class to pay for part of a huge house rebuild - unfortunately we cannot bear being vanless.
So we have bitten the bullet but also reduced our criteria - we have a 12 year old son who we cant yet dump in a tent, so we needed a 4 berth, the big compromise was the lack of a fixed adult bed, and also we had gotten fed up being scared of driving a big expensive van down narrow lanes - hopefully the talisman will remove that fear.
Because my first mortorhome was a 6 tonne self build, i cant help but plan ways to modify the new van, however we have decided to go for a 'break in' run as soon as possible and decide what we do and dont need - so you can expect a whole bunch of questions about who has done what and why
I look forward to hearing advice from 'Those in the know' and maybe even bieng able to to contribute with the stuff i have learned from the self build scene.
Regards
Dave (Dudger)

Well I won't be able to give that kind of help, but who knows, maybe in some other way -- when I've topped plundering other people's knowledge! Welcome meanwhile!
