Unusual welcome by C&CC wardens
Just arrived at Bowness-on-Windermere site. As instructed we wait in van for warden to come to us. Lovely friendly lady warden comes and first thing she says is 'you were at Rosemarie in 2017 when we were wardens there' and secondly she said ' you've been here before so you'll know where everything is'.
In 2017 we were in our previous van, the Nuevo and it's highly unlikely that she would remember us amid all the visitors to that site and yes we have been to Bowness before but at least 8 years ago (we met Murph here for those that remember him). Now normally we get asked 'have you been here before?' so most unusual to be greeted this way. Obviously C&CC keep records of everywhere a member has been and that information is available to wardens.

Not good news on them keeping records, I have told several they were jobs worth! after been told off for not parking 100% square on a pitch. I gave him the keys and said " if you can do better do it", he refused and stormed off never to be seen again.
I also have not been back
You must have been well behaved.

Big brother..
I find it amazing enough to be greeted with 'Good afternoon Mr Hxxx. Is it just you and Mrs Hxxx?' at UK border posts before I've even produced our passports.
But I was gobsmacked to be greeted by name when stopped for a routine check by a Swiss border official when I was on the motorbike!
I know it's ANPR technology, and details are now shared in the EU, but Switzerland isn't a member...

Don’t think they keep records but some wardens have good memories and if it was the wardens wife (as against asst wardens wife) she is very good at her job, in fact Iwould say she is the best I have come across and I don’t mind if you tell her. We were there about 3/4 weeks ago and there were 3 of us (all AS) plus a couple from our folk club in a caravan

It does say 'view your recent previous bookings' , I wouldn't call bookings from 3 years ago and 8 years ago, recent but anyway the page is not available...Bernilynn wrote:All your previous bookings are listed in your profile on the C&CC booking system.

It is found on the Booking system that the sites use which is different to the one we as campers access to book a pitch.

So you are saying that the wardens do have access to our information. That may include details of any complaints we have made and reviews good or bad.

No, they only have access to your contact details (so that they can amend if required) and your current and previous bookings. It is their booking, payment and check in system. Complaints would only be accessible by people with access at Head Office. Reviews good or bad are on the site web page for all to see.

That's okay then, wouldn't want to be marked as a moaning Minnie.
