Welcome to the forum. Its not something I have come across previously.
Nice choice of van and the Mk7 Tranny is a favourite base vehicle with me.

Hi
A bit risky Hog (for you and the OP) unless of course you are a vehicle transporter. Personally I'd get a a train and collect it myself rather than let somebody else loose with my new pride and joy.

If your getting your van from Southern motorhome company in Bracknell. I would recommend that you give the van a really good inspection and test everything.SuzzyH wrote:Hi guys, getting our Ford Eton motorHome delivered. Any companies you can recommend?
Hope it goes well.

Re: Delivery cost
Hi
True but it could still be a few miles away couldn’t it?
Very good advice if you haven’t already done so.
Maybe my train idea is not such a good one considering all this Covid stuff but couldn’t a friend drive you? Anyway I see there is a comparison site for vehicle recovery firms:
https://www.deliveryquotecompare.com/vehicle-delivery/car-transporters/
I expect they are quite pricey. It may even be cheaper to hire a car (if necessary) and get someone to drive you.
Whatever you decide enjoy your new van.

PS If you use a delivery firm make sure you do independent checks to make sure they are what they say they are.

Re: Delivery cost
Like PaulMold wondered, are you living in mid-Wales, and the vendor is also in mid-Wales? Unless you're very lucky, there won't be any railway connections. Can you give an indication of the two locations, so that we might advise better?
I share the extreme reservations about letting a stranger deliver your precious van. I'd ask a friend to run you to the vendor's. It would be better to have two people there, anyway.

Re: Delivery cost
This would be a lot simpler with two bits of information......
Where is the van now?
Where is it going?
