Straight lines cut with a Stanley knife and the circle cut with an appropriate size hole saw
I cut all the slots separately and then stuck them to each other with the final top piece having the slots cut a lot neater and tighter to stop the rattles , I used contact adhesive first but then used double sided carpet tape which was a lot easier and quicker
