Just to say Hello and pleased to have joined the forum.
I'm a newbie to owning a Campervan - Fairford Plus and will be collecting it shortly
Hoping to use the time beforehand productively to read and listen to experienced posters to guide me and my partner prior to our first outing

Re: Hello All
Hi and welcome to the forum.
You must be looking forward to collecting your van, I'm sure you'll have many happy experiences with it in the coming months and years. It's some 30 years since we collected our first camper and I still get a kick when we set off in ours now.
Ask away if you need any help with anything, you'll often get varied and sometimes conflicting advice but you'll then be better armed to make your own decisions.

Re: Hello All
Maybe I can answer...oh firstly welcome to the forum. I know Leeds well. Our daughter lives in Guiseley. Yes you should have levellers. They are a faff to use and on most sites they will not be required. In fact we are fairly tolerant of a bit of sloping....providing your head is higher than your feet in bed. I recon we use ours one in twenty sites.

Re: Hello All
Thanks Bobskate,
You make a very good point in that we really wouldn't welcome being inverted in bed.
Can imagine tolerating a great deal of unevenness but sounds like its worth having them for such an event.
I've just this second purchased some Thule ones on special offer with 40% off at £23 so not breaking the bank
Thanks again

Re: Hello All
Hello and welcome to this most friendly and informative forum. Another very simple reason for levelling ramps is to hasten the draining of the kitchen sink by ensuring the front of the van is slightly higher than the rear. There's nothing more frustrating when the sink seemingly takes an age to drain as in our case, the plumbing runs ever so slightly uphill. Congratulations on your new van.
