Hello !
12 years of Autoholmes Koncord VW T4 has come to an end , and an 03 VW Topaz has started its journey
pretty similar ,but higher build quality and a Loo , 2.5 tdi from 2.0 petrol (with no power steering )
This one is LWB previous SWB , not much longer but noticeable ( probably being over cautious just now)
live in North Cumbria , handy for Lakes and south west Scotland

Re: Hello !
Thanks for the welcome !
Just had two nights near Bath , first proper trip ( family stuff to sort , not a proper jaunt) great engine , even better on motorway after easily adding cruise control , power steering great for parking but missing the “feel” of non power , I’m am sure it will pass
Read on here about bed problems with Topaz , we are 5.8 ish so not a problem with length but the bed is enormous ! Coming from the koncord it’s very impressive, and easy to setup. 2003 and the quality of the initial build is very impressive , built to last , it has ,and I have no doubt it will continue to .
LWB, previous was SWB , at first I seriously thought about changing my mirrors with the old van as i was convinced it was the mirrors making the difference , I changed one and realised that wasn’t the problem , I think it’s the rearward position of the wheels , if I had come to the Topaz from a car or other van I don’t think it would be an issue but 12 years of SWB T4 have conditioned me and I am “very” cautious
I have read and re-read the forum and already put tips into use
That have been great helps , look forward to finding more and adding if I can
