2005 Nuevo Radio issue
Hi, New to the forum and just taken ownership of a 2005 Nuevo on a boxer chassis. The issue we have is that the radio for some unexplained reason kept on coming on during the night and then it was trying to eject an empty cd ! This would go on for about 15 minutes and then it would turn itself off and then repeat the process over ( and over ) again. The first few times, I pressed and held the power button for 3 secs to turn it off myself but gave up! The override switch was off. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I have heard of this before. Have you tried inserting a cd and then ejecting it. It's something to do with the cd drawer not recognising a cd is in it.

Agreed, it sounds like a faulty switch or sensor in the headunit.

Try a sledgehammer?
The radio in my 2009 Nuevo was awful, would only work for 20 minutes.

That's a different issue. Depends if on x244 or x250 base vehicle.Richard G wrote:Try a sledgehammer?

Yep, on mine it's a flick of the switch above the fridge and you get constant radio.

It happened on our 2005 Nuevo, it does connect to the switch by the aerial socket but in either position the radio comes on during the night. I just replaced the radio with a decent Sony one with bluetooth, you just need to pick up a permanent or switched live up from nearby.
