Hello
Hello, we've had our wonderful Transit duetto for nearly 6 years now and only just found the forum.
Having trouble with the gear box, but have just bitten the bullet and paying masses to have it overhauled. Wondering whether/how to get the underneath sealed and the rust patches dealt with or whether to cut our losses now and sell up.
Trouble is that with 4 teenagers - that's why we bought it as we could fit them all in the back for long journeys, even if we ended up not all sleeping in the van - we rarely get away these days, and the van is seriously under-used.
Hoping to be jolly adventurous campers again in the near empty-nested future.

Re: Hello
Hi there,
Welcome from a warm and sunny Skegness where we are looking forward to more sun this weekend!
Just remember that "teenagers" generally grow up and leave (if you are lucky) without any heed to the needs of Mum and Dad.
Personally, I would keep the van (great choice but I am biased) and use it as a means of running away during that brief period (usually about two years) between the last one leaving home and the first one returning with their own kids for you to look after. (Not biased on this at all - just cynical.)
Best regards,
