We Got One
We Got One.
Pause as the Ghostbuster theme tune fades away.
Born in 2005 with a Gold complexion and weighing in at just under 3 tons Jenny was delivered today at 1:30pm to Mr & Mrs Vee. Both proud owners are extremely pleased and excited to show off their new arrival.

You're lucky. I'm jealous (but I can't fit a high-top van in my garage)!
Hope you can get away in it soon...

Great van, we had one from brand new in 2007 and sold it in 2016.
Hope it is problem free.

You'll love it - vans don't get much more car-like to drive than a T5.

Particularly when it's the 2.5 auto, Roopert. It benefitted from a careful previous owner !!

As is our Trooper, Keith. Very smooth to drive, as long as you can overlook the thirst (we don't even bother to measure it!).

Nice van and you can fit them in parking places. The great thing about about the VWs is their fuel consumption. You will be well chuffed once you start using it

Re: We Got One
Well it was a nice day down here in Kent UK, so we took her out for a test drive down to Herne Bay, around 30 miles from us. The plan was to find a nice spot where we could see the sea and have lunch and a cuppa. The Topaz drove just fine although we took it easy as this is the largest vehicle we have driven. We found a nice big gap for the first parking test and had an enjoyable hour sitting inside with the side door open drinking tea and watching the waves. It was worth every penny for the enjoyment it gave us

Re: We Got One
have just looked at a YouTube review of the Topaz. They do look good inside as well and look to be very well equipped.
Lucky you, tea , lunch and waves to watch. Who's getting excited then?

Looks Good.
Enjoy your new purchase just awaiting sites to open now. By the sound of things the club sites are already filling up as most motorhomers/caravanners who go abroad will be touring at home this year and are pre-booking uk sites.

Re: We Got One
Thanks chaps. We spent the day playing Tetris with the Topaz today. We think we know where we want to store everything now (as in it will be in a totally different by the end of the week!) but for such a tiny MH there is a surprising lot of storage space. We even managed to get the telly sorted and found a space for it and the wife found out that the shower works when she stooped to the wash cupboard and accidentally pushed the lever. Haha lots of squeals and laughter.

Re: We Got One
I also found that out, so I fitted an extra shutoff with a push on/off inline with the shower hose, in fact I removed it when I sold the Topaz and it is now in the Warwick as the same thing can happen.

If you look on eBay under "shower flow stop valve" you should find one at £4.95.https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Shower-Flow-Stop-Valve-Water-Saving-Shut-Off-Ideal-for-Boats-Caravan-Motorhome/332423097707?epid=28007780025&hash=item4d65f5ed6b:g:8i8AAOSwMhVb9IPGTiddles wrote:Hi Richard, rgermain wrote:I also found that out, so I fitted an extra shutoff with a push on/off inline with the shower hose, in fact I removed it when I sold the Topaz and it is now in the Warwick as the same thing can happen.

Sorry I am not up to loading photos from eBay, maybe someone will be of more use than me. Think I may have done it!
I fitted it where the shower hose screws onto the tap, then refitted the hose on the other end. I have had one in use on 2 vans and a caravan without any problem.

We fitted one of these shower heads in our Topaz, saves accidental showering ! Works as a trigger switch or lift up lever for a hands free constant flow.
