It's easy to see someone else's post go green and think to yourself, "Why did he get the thanks when I posted a much better answer before him?" (Or her!  Whistle1)

I would be in favour if it could be arranged so members could not rack up an individual total - for reasons already discussed.

I can't see why it shouldn't be possible. There's obviously a bit of code that shuts down any further thanking as soon as it has been done once in a thread. Is it just as simple as removing that bit of code??  scratch head
A thanks emoji could be a simple way instead of having to type the words.....
thanx.    thanks

Thank you Paul; I should have mentioned that. Mine is already set so that all threads which I initiate or contribute to notify automatically. An incoming e-mail or SMS also needs to have notifications alerts set on your phone before it makes a noise however, which is what I was saying to Dbvwt.

Quilter, I wasn’t questioning your technical knowledge by any means hence my smiley face.

Words on a forum often get misinterpreted, sorry if I caused offence.

Cheers, yes it’s one of their Cetus Infusions, with my fiancée’s Alaw Bach alongside.

Test paddled the Cetus and it surfed about 100 M on an incoming  wave all the way to the shore! BUT I agree with your fiancee, ended up buying an Alaw Bach , white hull, yellow deck , light glitter with black kelp and 2 starfish! The Cetus was a Transt van compared to the Rockpools Caterham!!  I loved that kayak but similarly to your start of ownership  I had a sudden health issue and kayak lay unused until I eventually sold it . Broke my heart as I had worked my way up from sit on tops to a Robson, Point65, Kaspian  to the Rockpool. Kari tec was my home !   When I sold the Alaw  Bach It was mint with not even the slightest scuff on it !

Sorry to hear that you had to let your Alaw Bach go after working up to it. I started surfing wave skis many years ago, had an inflatable kayak and a ‘sit on top’ before trying out a plastic P&H Scorpio, which I’ve used for several years.

I have paddled my fiancée’s Alaw Bach, but it’s too small for me and the Alaw or GT are better suited, but come in quite a bit heavier than the AB.

I nearly made the change to Rockpool, but this Cetus is the carbon/kevlar Infusion and IMO blows Rockpool’s current offerings, including the smaller Alaw Bach out of the water  Whistle1

Ha ha I found the P and H boats a bit rough around the edges where the Rockpool was a Rolls Royce . Cetus was nice to paddle but was a high volume boat and looking at the deck I was in fear of a couple of Harriers attempting a landing  mistaking it for their carrier!  hugegrins hugegrins  I think the 2 guys who owned Rockpool split , the other becoming Tiderace?

Strangely enough, my Scorpio HV was affectionately known as ‘the aircraft carrier’ hugegrins

I'm using the mobile site at the moment, and can't find a quick quote button, but would just like to say that the sky in the photo posted by Kingham is awesome! Really impressive.

On the subject of thanks... As mentioned previously it seems to be those who ask a question and don't post an introduction, or their introduction is the question that don't say thanks, they get an answer, and that's the last you see of them.

I run a Land Rover forum, and see it all the time. The really annoying thing is that quite often it's a, question that's commonly asked, and I think those that tend to answer get fed up with answering and getting no thanks.

A thank you goes a very long way! I hope I have thanked everybody here who has answered any of my queries.... And if not, we'll here's a big thank you from me. All the help I have had here has been greatly appreciated, and I hope that I can help others along the way. Karma, baby!
