Hello (again) from Brod
i All,
I was a member of this excellent forum for years under the user name brodco. I haven’t contributed of a while and my user name seems to have been inactivated (but I,m still getting the newsletter strangely).
I have missed the forum and was very heartened to read Eds’ recent (ish) post so I’m back (if you’ll have me).

I am the proud owner of an aging Duetto that I have has for something like 12 years. I may be old but I still love it and the motor homing community in general.
I look forward to talking to friends old and new and I sincerely hope you are well and looking after yourselves at this challenging time. May the good times return soon.
Keep Safe.

Welcome back. I've just checked membership list and Brodco is still there, your profile is still there and your old posts. Strange you can't get in on that name.

Hi Paul,
Thanks for the welcome back. Yes odd that I can’t log in with the old name. My password was saved but It still comes up with invalid account when I try and use it. I tried the “forgot password” option (with the email address that I get the newsletter on) but the system didn’t seem to recognise it - I don’t get an email anyway.
I’ll PM admin but as a new member I need a few more posts before I can do that. Nice to be back anyway.

Just as a test, I'll send you (Brodco) a PM and if you get email to say you have a PM then you'll know if email works.

These password problems are a pain and generally are only resolved by taking the action Brod has done. Brod you may have tried the following
1. Were you able to see Pauls PM
2. Sometimes I have an issue of access where I have been signed in on different devices. Been able to get in on one but not the others. Do you have another PC /Laptop/Tablet or Phone you could try and get in. Have you checked pwd in browser settings ?
3.Do a cookie and password clean for things related to ASOF
4.Try and sign in again as brodco
5. I have sent you an email via the forum link if you get it then the forum still knows brodco and we need to look further

Hi Brodco
I have just updated your password.
Our software shows you last signed on in Nov 2019 so it looks like you are entering the incorrect password.
You should receive an email with your new password to the gmail address you used to register with on your account. You can change this password in your profile if you wish once you have signed on successfully.
Regards
Ed

Re: Hello (again) from Brod
Hi All.
Thanks for all the welcomes, much appreciated.
Roli - I had a message saying that a private message had been received from Paul but I couldn’t log in and see it however, that shows that the email address is clearly still active.
I have not received the email from admin on the same (gmail) address - I have only ever had one gmail address so it has to be the same one.
I’m sure I’m (was) using the right password but when I tried the “forgotten Password” option I did not get an email.
OK it’s probably me but I can’t for the life of me think how. I seem to be sort of half registered. Any more ideas,?
Roger just got you email but still nothing from Admin
I’m off to lie down in a darkened room!

Hi all and thanks for the help!
Paul, nothing in the spam box!
Roger,
These password problems are a pain and generally are only resolved by taking the action Brod has done. Brod you may have tried the following
1. Were you able to see Pauls PM
Yes
2. Sometimes I have an issue of access where I have been signed in on different devices. Been able to get in on one but not the others. Do you have another PC /Laptop/Tablet or Phone you could try and get in. Have you checked pwd in browser settings ?
I have tried on my personal laptop , my work machine, a test Linux box I have access to and my Android tablet
all with the same result (and all on different networks).
3.Do a cookie and password clean for things related to ASOF
Done that - no effect.
4.Try and sign in again as brodco
Done that - no luck
5. I have sent you an email via the forum link if you get it then the forum still knows brodco and we need to look further
Received OK! for some reason it seems that I can receive PMs from individual members but not from the system - weird !

Hi
Roli – its all working now and I’m back as brodco. Admins’ email took ages to arrive for some reason but arrive it did. Thanks for your (and everyone else'e) help. I don’t know what you want to be with my second registration – delete it probably.
Gromers me old mucker!

Can't argue with that (me boss says I shouldn’t be allowed out without adult supervision) but in my defence the “forgotten password” option wasn’t working either.Gromit wrote:Here's the reason Paul. He's gone senile and forgotten his password!!brod wrote:I may be old but I still love it and the motor homing community in general.
