Nuevo ES Leisure Battery Change
Our 2007 Nuevo is an odd one. It's a 2 berth but it has the 4 belted seats of the ES.
The leisure battery is installed under one of the rear passenger seats in a tight space and is due for replacement.
Does anyone have any experience/advice on the best way to take out the old battery and get the new one in?
Is it just a matter of tilting it up and out and reversing the process to put the new one in or will I need to dismantle some of the seat structure first?
Any advice would be appreciated.
Thanks
Les

Is your Nuevo a late Mk1 or a X250 Mk2 ?

I'm not sure of the different models but I think it's a Mk2. I've put a photo as my avatar if that helps.

Hi Les
I will stand back and let one of or more experienced battery guys pass on his/her knowledge of battery change overs.
We all have different ways of doing things, not always the right way.

From my experience. After taking off the retaining bar undo the two self-tapped Philips screws which hold the tray to the floor. The tray can then slide forward a bit which should allow you to get the battery out without too much tipping.
My tray was rusty in places and I gave it a good coating of waxoil before fitting a new battery.

Probably a bit late to respond. I had my battery replaced on the same model and although it looks tight it lifted straight out no problem without dismantling the seat mechanism

Thanks that's good to hear I'm probably going to do it next week so let's hope it's the same. We're just looking forward to getting away in it now.Adam & Emily wrote:Probably a bit late to respond.
