Assuming you mean that the sliding door is difficult to reach when fully open, one possible solution is to fit a 'Stopsy'.  Fairly easy to purchase or make one yourself.

To help closing the door, it depends if you can reach towards the rear of the door. On my Sussex (Warwick Duo) you cannot reach very far back due to washroom covering half of the door opening. I fitted a grab handle as far back as possible on the window ledge. This helps pull the door inwards as you close it but my van doesn't have a blind on the sliding door. If you have a blind then I have seen a strap fitted onto the door instead of a handle , as a strap lies flat against the door so it doesn't interfere with sliding the door open.
I certainly can't recommend a Stopsy, having fitted one, only to remove it the next day as the noise of the roller running over it was worse than the slamming noise.

Instead of a genuine "Stopsy" I have stuck a Velcro tab on the rail that the door roller runs on. Works quite well and is more-or-less silent. I too disliked the quite jarring 'bump' as the door roller ran over the hump on the metal track of the Stopsy. The Velcro lasts for about a year and a half and then it gets replaced (dead easy).

I tried the velcro but I lubricate the roller and rail with silicon and that lifts the velcro off.

I fitted a kitchen cupboard handle. It has to be low profile so it doesn't catch the side of the van on opening the door. I partly unscrewed the door card so I could get my hand inside and drilled 2 holes in the metal. I used a piece of a galvanised wall strap from a builders merchants to strengthen the panel and cut some bolts down and screwed them into the threaded holes in the handle. The whole lot was held by 2 nuts and washers fitted from inside the door.  The handle enables you to pull on the central part of the door and makes it much easier to close. [You must be registered and logged in to see this link.]

That looks a great solution because you have to use bump stop to slide it shut. Thanks

Hi @Jeepster, I fitted a strap on my door rather than a handle (might be the same one Paul mentioned above).

There's some details at the very end of this thread: [You must be registered and logged in to see this link.]
