Swing Wall Hinges Nuevo
The upper hinge (only a plastic insert) on the shower swing wall has broken and is no longer attached to the 'door'. I know that I can obtain a replacement part from Auto-sleepers but cannot see how to fit it. It seems it would be necessary to remove the swing wall entirely to screw the new part in (increasing the height by approximately 4cm) but then I can see no way of re-fitting the higher wall in the height available.
Does anybody have the answer?
I thought I had previously seen a similar query on the forum but cannot locate it. TIA.

Re: Swing Wall Hinges Nuevo
At an early stage our swing wall popped out of its top socket. Nothing had broken. It was dealt with under warranty and I am guessing that there was sufficient flex on the shower compartment roof for it to be forced back into the hole. But I cannot substantiate that.

Like you, easylifer, I recall a thread about the hinge of the swing-wall, but my attempt at a search was unsuccessful. PaulMold is the Master of Search, and I wonder if he can help.
If, as inspiredron says, it's possible to lever the (replaced) hinge back into place, It may be helpful to heat the bathroom as hot as possible to soften the plastic. Or will that cause it to expand and thus make the job more difficult?

Thanks to everybody for their most helpful and prompt replies.
I think my next move is to remove the swing wall completely and check that after fitting a new top piece I will be able to fit the wall back in. I will post the results (without all the cursing and swearing that will no doubt arise).

Re: Swing Wall Hinges Nuevo
An update.
I removed the swing wall completely, just removed the water/waste pipes and the damper (just pulls off on the wall end). Then, because the top hinge insert was missing it was easy to manoeuvre the wall off the bottom spigot and out the door.
The new top hinge insert was glued and screwed to the top of the wall, which was then put on to the bottom spigot and with a little persuasion pushed in to place (due to the flex of the shower ceiling).
Much easier than I expected, therefore only Queen's English was muttered.
