Hi everyone,

I'm relatively new to motor caravanning having inherited my Dad's Symphony when he gave up driving last year, lucky me. I wonder if anyone can help me, I seem to have a problem with the water pump. I have a full tank of water, the pump makes a whirring sound but no water appears.

Welcome to the forum.
I'm sure someone will help you with your 'water works' problem.

If the system has drained down, it may take a little while for the water to appear at the taps.
I think it has been mentioned before about 'bleeding' the pipes, but I'm not too sure with that one.

Sound as if your water system is air-locked. Make sure that the water tank is full then open all taps and turn on the pump.

If you get a steady stream of water from all the taps turn them off and listen for the pump stopping.

If you don't get a steady flow of water then just leave one cold tap open and then try sucking the water through. If no water arrives turn off the pump and let us all know; and we will come up with Plan "B".
