Teleco Satellite system update
My Teleco Magi Sat suddenly stopped working last week. It would not find Astra 28.
I contacted Teleco on 01923 800353. They explained that the satellite itself has changed and I need to update the 'black box'
They forwarded the download and instructions. Pleased to say it worked.
If you are having the same problem you need a lap top to connect to the 'black box'

Re: Teleco Satellite system update
We were away last weekend and couldn’t lock on to Astra 28 - I put it down to us being parked close to trees.
After reading your post last night Mungo, I checked this morning and couldn’t lock on at home (normally I can).
I downloaded the update and got it all sorted and back to normal.
So glad you posted as we would have been away again this weekend without a signal and I’d end up blaming trees, meteors, sun spots, etc.

Glad to help. Mine seems to now find the 'Sat' a lot faster too.

Re: Teleco Satellite system update
I noticed on the website that they do a version that can track the intelsat satellite.
"Note this system has the added benefit of being able to lock on to the Intelsat Satellite as well as the standard other satellites and coupled with a specific receiver such as the IceCrypt S1600CHD will allow viewing of some UK Terrestrial channels even in Southern Spain."
I have asked if this can be added as we have only ever used astra .
does anyone else use some of the other satellites?

Re: Teleco Satellite system update
My Teleco system is the type with twin lnb' s and I have an Icecryot box to be able to receive the main British channels (BBC, ITV ETC) even on the south coast of Spain. Not been able to use it there yet as we didn't manage to get away for the winter but it has been useful sometimes on UK sites with trees that stopped me getting Astra - just changed to Intelsat which is in a more westerly direction and no need to move pitch.

Re: Teleco Satellite system update
I was a little concerned when I read this as I don't have a 'black box' to update & wondered if I would have any problems, went into van, switched on TV, wound up the dish & in literally 5 seconds found Astra 28, 99% signal strength !
The TV I have is a 'smart' Smart & has built-in tuners ( no box ) so I have no idea as to how, or if, anything has changed, or is the update for sat-tracking, anybody care to enlighten me??
