Good! I hope it works out. I'd heard a rumour about this but nothing in black and white.
The next job is to get the motorhomers to use this facility, instead of camping nose to tail along Anchorsholme prom all day, every day, making a nuisance of themselves by stopping anyone else from parking there (particularly me when I want to fish there )
Blackpool council have already stopped the 24 hour free parking along Anchorsholme and reduced it to 4 hours but no-one seems to be taking any notice of that.

Really hope this works and more councils follow suite, a fiver a night makes going away very affordable compared to site rates which becomes very expensive if away for more than a few days at a time... Blackpool (not everyones cup of tea I know) is the kind of place that you only want to stay overnight anyway then move on so is ideal and I will look forward to using this facility in the future

Sorry no, can't say that I know Alan, that's not to say that I haven't chewed the fat with him I actually prefer to fish off the beach rather than the wall so we usually make for the 5 barred gate, Rossal hospital or marine beach. I can only fish the Cadet base if my mate's driving because of the height barrier But sometimes it's nice to be lazy and fish half a dozen yards from the van
Let me know when your next going and we may meet up?
