New member in Scotland
Hello all
This is just an introductory email from a new member. I purchased a 2000 Peugeot Boxer petrol-engined Harmony 2 berth about a month ago, though still don't have it as there are a few minor hab-related problems currently being resolved! It's slightly unusual in that it has a very low recorded mileage, so time will tell if that's good or bad. I've been consulting this friendly forum on and off for the last few months for various answers pre-purchase and I'm sure I'll be back with more questions along the way......and hopefully I'll be able to reciprocate with answers too at some point.
The main use will be short-ish trips in the highlands and lowlands of Scotland based around me and the wife's walking / biking adventures. My first long journey will be the 500-miler from the south of England where it presently resides back to home in Broughty Ferry but the timing for that is still subject to whenever it gets handed over. Should be a good mechanical test though.....and I'll post ahead of the journey in case any of you see me sitting on the hard shoulder at some point.....
Look forward to sharing info and adventures along the way.

Re: New member in Scotland
Hi aeronet and welcome to the forum from across the Tay in the sunny East Neuk of Fife.
Hope all goes well with sorting out the 'van for you. Broughty Ferry is one of our favourite places, we often come and park up down by the castle.
You probably know all the good places already here in Fife for day trips or camping but if not sing out and we'll happily advise. Similarly for overnight stops on the trip from the south as it's one we often do to and from our other place in Berkshire.
Look forward to hearing more about your adventures once you get on the road.

Thanks Roger....we'll look out for you at the castle....it's a lovely spot....so much so that there's a chap living on the harbour there permanently at the moment! Also thanks for offers of the Berkshire info....will keep that in mind if we head south.
Thanks too Paramedic.....Chichester is actually where my purchase is presently residing!

Re: New member in Scotland
...and just by way of postscript I now have my Harmony in Scotland having driven it up yesterday from Chichester. Ran like a dream....560 miles, probably the longest journey it's ever done in it's 20 year / 4000 mile life! Easy and quiet cruising around 70 on (level and downhill!) motorway sections and around 30mpg (petrol). Next job to gradually commission it for proper use. Thanks to all the well wishers on this post.
