Trigger shower head for 2006 Symbol
Hi folks.
Been looking to change the shower head in my van so I can actually use the shower and use less water. I can't seem to come up with a definitive answer as to whether or not I can simply swap the shower heads over and use a trigger head type one. This to me makes sense as the water is only used when depressed and as far as I can make out keeps the temperature relatively as you had it.
I have read somewhere you can if you have a micro switch or a switch, may be the other way round. Anyway, I'm not technical and not even sure where it's meant to be. I'm definitely not messing with electrics.
I understand if not correct it would keep the pump on when trigger head is not depressed and therefore put a strain on it. This again I'm not sure of, just comments I've gleamed off the net to make me more confused.
Seeing as it's a new water pump I don't want to mess that up.
Could any one advise please? I have a 2006 Symbol, would a trigger shower head be compatible or not?
Many thanks
Wendy Woo

We always use a trigger head, straight swop, no electrics involved, pump stops just the same as turning tap off.

You can find them on eBay, sometimes under an obscure heading as they are also used for “personal hygiene”.

Absolutely - search eBay for 'shattaf'.

The link above is for the seller I purchased from about a year ago , the quality was good and only took about ten days to arrive less than £5 inc postage postage from China.

Bought one of these for £3.99 delivered (not from this supplier but the same item). Managed to find a UK supplier on the bay so came in about 5 days.
Works perfectly if you have a standard hose fitting.
Sure these have been recommended on here many times.

OK thanks everyone for your help you've been fab. Ordered a trigger shower head last night. Now going to clean the fresh water tank down for the special occasion!
