LPG in France Empty LPG in France

Post by CJ1949 Thu Jun 13, 2019 10:18 am

I expect this been mentioned before---- off to France soon and I ordered what I thought was the correct conversion connector to put LPG into my underboard LPG tank in my Autosleeper whilst in France, however I was sent something I believe was a connector to refill gas bottles.

Can someone help and give me the correct converter/description/type to enable me to 'pump' gas as usual via the proper inlet.
Thanks

Here's a picture of the one you want if this adds to Paul's advice. (He beat me to it as usual!  smile!)

LPG in France Dish-adapter
I wouldn't worry too much however, as most filling stations seem to have one that they will lend you.

You can buy one here as cheaply as anywhere. France adapter

There's also a video to show how the French adapter is used. What it doesn't show (be warned) is the whoosh of freezing LPG vapour as you disconnect the gun!!! Not a problem, but it's a pants filler if you are not ready for it!  snigger

Yes used the above today with no problem, just make sure you pull up on the correct side for the pump!
