Re: Gasit dust cap
I can't find the thread but it was giving links to locking lpg caps on eBay. I've just searched eBay and the only ones there are from Germany costing around £40 + £8 postage whereas the previous ones were around £22 from UK sellers. You can buy a lot of unlockable ones for that money. Maybe worth looking on Gasit website to see if they sell them.

This is the one that was on that original thread at around £22, now it's £40 free postage from Ireland.

But they're not lockable.

Re: Gasit dust cap
just agreeing with the suggestion from Roger That....
with fuel theft is possible by syphoning it out, hence we use lockable caps, but with LPG.
I use a dust cap that's similar to the one in the link Roger provided, I don't see the need for anything more secure, unless the locking bit is to secure the cap itself?
if so, one can 'lose' half a dozen cheap ones and still be in profit...
just another (unnecessary IMV) key to put on a bulging key ring?

Not quite Gasit but it don't matter if it's lockable when you do my repeated trick. Unlock water filler, take keys out to open the locker for hose etc, put water filler on bike rack and leave it there. Since I have retired I have done this three times..
I can't find a cheap filler cap like the Gasit ones for the water filler.
I use to loose oil filler caps on my Landrovers due to vibration so I fitted a chain to it, maybe that's the cure .

Re: Gasit dust cap
I open the locker next to filler where I keep the hose and fittings, then i unlock water filler cap and place it on floor of locker with keys still in. Can't leave filler cap behind that wayDave 418 wrote:Not quite Gasit but it don't matter if it's lockable when you do my repeated trick.
