Hello from Cornwall
Hello All
I'm another new member and recent motorhomer. My partner loved her 2010 Symbol, and after our relationship survived several UK trips in it I have found myself becoming a convert to the cause, to the extent that we have recently "upgraded" to a Kemerton XL. She feels it's too long, while I love the extra space, especially the bathroom, so we will see if this particular van is a keeper. I've found the forum so valuable for advice about repairs and maintenance for both vans, and it's uncanny how the teething troubles we've had on the Kemerton XL are so similar to what others have reported. So I thought I should join properly and contribute some of our own experiences. It seems that the ownership of a motorhome is a guarantee of many hours of tinkering between trips, and it's great to have a forum to share our trials and tribulations.

Hello, it won’t feel too long once you’ve driven it a few times, you won’t even notice the length after a while. I use my fairford as daily vehicle and I feel like I’m just driving a big car. I’ve never had any parking issues either.
Happy travels!

Re: Hello from Cornwall
Hi, I'm down in St Kew, still regarded as a blow-in after 7 years! Very happy to hear from other Cornish members. I find the XL fine to drive and don't notice the extra length, though parking needs a little more planning than in the Symbol, which just about fits in a regular space. It's my partner who has the slight phobia, and I'm hoping she'll find it fine once she's used to driving it. In fact, it feels rock solid on the XL chassis and big 16" wheels, whereas I found the Symbol with its raised floor and roof a wee bit roly-poly in the bends.
