New Trophy Owner
Hi fellow Trophy owners, I have just made what I hope will be a good investment in a 94 L Trophy. I have named her Lynn, in honour of Alan Partridge's PA.
Let's hope she doesn't suffer as much as her namesake.
She has an upper bunk bed, which seems quite rare. Not sure it's quite big enough for an adult to sleep in, though.
I've tested putting together the various lower bed options and had a bit of an ordeal moving the seat block across in order to make the nearside single bed. It was unbelievably hard to move the seat base, so much so that I've left it in the bed configuration (with LH side of the seat further away from the sliding door). Has anyone else had any issues with that?
I'm finding the instruction manual incredibly over-complicated. For a lay user (who is not a plumber or electrician), there seems to be a huge amount of extraneous technical information with a lack of diagrams. For example, there are no diagrams of the interior of the van or switches etc. Does anyone know where these can be found?
Finally (for now!), has anyone ever replaced the carpet in their Trophy?
Thanks in advance, and I look forward to contributing to this little community.

Re: New Trophy Owner
Hello and welcome.
I have replaced the flooring in my Topaz, same as your Trophy, I cut around the carpet / furniture with a stanley knife, the carpet is put down first then the units built on top, so very difficult to get the whole carpet out,
I replaced with wood effect vinyl flooring, have mats on top, looks lighter / newer and fresher, easier to clean than carpet, if more insulation required, a carpet remnant having the edges bound on top of the vinyl flooring for winter use, I haven`t done the latter bit.
There were some photos on the forum of my Topaz, don`t know whether they are still on there after, maintenance though.
I also refurbished the upholstery, looks like new now.
Good luck and happy travels in Lynn.
The upper bunk will be for child / children, so it will be a four berth.
Best wishes,
Margaret
