Fridge not working on gas
Hi all,
Next in the saga of our Spanish trip... not a huge issue at this stage as we are homeward bound - but in case there’s anything we can do to fix it.
We parked up in Cantabria today to visit friends and went to turn the fridge onto gas - alarm sounds. Tried turning it off and back on again, to no avail. We’ve just left it off, so there might be some freezer spoils tomorrow.
It seems to work fine on 12V so pretty sure it’s something to do with the gas. The other night it sounded like it was struggling to fire up, so not a huge surprise that there’s a problem. Also we’ve been camping in temps going down to -7 the last couple of nights, but think it’ll be above freezing tonight.
Cheers
Fiona

I'm guessing it's more complicated than that you are using a butane rather then propane cylinder? I doubt it's that simple if you're referring to minus 7 degrees, as butane would have been giving problems well before it got that low (not recommended below 4-5 degrees IIRC).

Hmm... not sure what we’ve filled up with - we have a fitted tank and filled up with Repsol Autogas.

Re: Fridge not working on gas
That will be mainly propane, so it should be Ok at -7.
