Sargent Waste Tank Indicator
I have a 2017 Kingham with the Sargent charger and electrical panel. The waste indicator now reads erratically and even alarms when I know the tank is empty. The tank is regularly cleaned with tank cleaner and fresh water whilst we drive so that it sloshes around. I met someone else last week with the same year a Kingham and he has the same issue. I guess it is the sensor in the tank that has got clogged or similar.

Re: Sargent Waste Tank Indicator
It's an irksome situation that is well known to many members of this forum on a myriad of vans. Fortunately for us it never sets off the alarm. Noticed soon after purchasing our used van of two years, that the sensors had been replaced but obviously was never going to solve the problem long term. You would be even more unfortunate if you had the same problem with the fresh water levels. Regards.

Re: Sargent Waste Tank Indicator
Or Warwick XL has had problems with the waste indicator apart from the first few months of ownership. It now reads full all the time even when the drain valve is open and despite regularly wasting money on tank cleaner... I have now given up on it.
The fresh water has mostly been ok but recently has been reading a quarter full, even when empty.. I don't take much notice of that anymore either... I find the best solution for us and the only way of knowing what you have is to top the fresh up daily from a container and drain the waste at the same time, the level indicators are more or less a waste of space, worse really, they give false readings.....

You can always replace the probes with these...

Paul, I'm afraid they are no better at resisting scaling than the originals, AS have been using them as standard fit for the last couple of years but the issue with scaling persists.

In an odd way, it’s comforting to know we all struggle with the issue at some point..

Re: Sargent Waste Tank Indicator
Well not entirely, they have the white insulation block that protrudes into the tank and that prevents conductivity caused by sludge adhered to the side of the tank - that is apparently very common in US RV's but as we all keep our tanks very clean, not such an issue here.

They sound good, Paul but they only seem to be warranted for 1 year!

See Peters response - AS already fit them with no success.inspiredron wrote:Paulmold wrote:You can always replace the probes with these...
