Autosleeper Sandhurst
Just seen a Sandhurst 2011 registration on the later T5 chassis (facelift) with a 102 bhp engine. I was under the impression that these where only around for a couple of years 2006 - 2008. Any ideas, did or do Autosleepers do one off's?

Hi airhog, I've found a 2011 T5.1 based Sandhurst up in the North East, just wondering if it's the same one you've spotted for sale too?

Re: Autosleeper Sandhurst
It is the same one as i'm intrigued as to the year of registration as well. The only information i can find on them is they were normally built on the T5 130 and 174 bhp chassis rather than the T5.1. I know that Autosleeper do offer certain services regarding builds but whether they would build a new one? Alternatively it may have been put on a new chassis. I see you've contacted Autosleeper so would be interesting to see what they say

Yes, that's the one I'm going to view tomorrow but hadn't found it on ebay!
Did you contact the seller's?

Re: Autosleeper Sandhurst
If you do online MOT check it's iisted as category N1 which is commercial vehicle and therefore lower speed limits apply (except on motorways). So check logbook , it should be listed as motor caravan.
The graphics don't look original so my thinking is a transplant.

Re: Autosleeper Sandhurst
Just received this reply from another VW based forum
"Sorry mate, don't GO!!!!!!!!!!!
Its a ringer made up of two vans, probably a crashed autosleeper, poorly put together, nothing lines up
Lots of info on the coachbuilt collective facebook and the sandhurst autosleeper pages
Hope you see this message before you waste your time"
Guess that solves the mystery, at least we now know

I think someone on Facebook in the Sandhurst group looked at this van ,it wasn’t advertised then as a Sandhurst he did say that all the the door gaps weren’t right and walked away having made a long trip to view ,and yes I was under the impression they were only made 2006-2008

Thanks Paul, I didn't notice the N1 category, only the 3000kg revenue weight but I put that down to it being the 2.0L engine

Thanks, at least its only 15 minutes down the road for me to check and it's still not being advertised as an Autosleeper Sandhurst
I did request to join the Facebook group but I haven't been accepted yet
I hope anyone else interested in it does their homework and finds this site before thinking of purchasing
