Post by PC Sun Aug 26, 2018 4:42 pm

Hi I'm Peter
My wife Jane and I have just purchased a Broadway FB and collect it on the 7th Sept.
We are first time motorhome owners and would welcome any tips do's and don't.

Our plan is to start with trips around the UK then venture into Europe. So any suggestions are welcome.

Many thanks
Peter and Jane

Hello and welcome to this most friendly and informative forum. Of course our van is right for us but have to be mindful of the somewhat poor user payload at only 305kg. Need to visit local weigh bridge again to ensure we are not carrying too much with recently acquired air awning. Loads of storage space including the cavernous area under the bed but the payload does not do it justice. Perhaps your 2018 van is not so limited? Regards

Welcome both.

Some would say you've got it wrong right from the start though.  hugegrins

Motorhoming in France is sooooo much easier than in the UK. A bit late for this year perhaps, but there's loads of information and advice on here for your winter browsing, then over the water next season and never look back.  up!

Give it some thought. This is just a tiny corner of France to give you an idea.
Hello 2ihnoqt

P.S. Your user payload now appears to be 388kg, which is a significant improvement. With a little care and forethought you will have no trouble.

A warm welcome from North Staffs

I would recommend joining the Autosleepers Owners Club where you will also find a warm welcome from seasoned Autosleeper Owners who are willing to share the Motorhome experiences with useful tips.
