Hello AS Forum people!
Hello everyone from a motor home novice (but an experienced caravanner!)
We live in a village near Swindon and have just purchased our first motor home, a low mileage 2011 Auto-Sleeper Broadway EK TB LP.
We have been caravanners for over 40 years, starting with a Sprite 400 and ending with a Vanmaster which we have owned for the last 14 years.
Having toyed with going over to the dark side for a while now, we took the plunge when we saw the AS.
It has a build quality which seemed comparable to our caravan, was not too long, and will help us decide whether or not to sell our caravan and buy a new motor home, or to decide motor homes are not for us and stick to our Vanmaster.
I have had a look at the forum and have been most impressed with the friendly and helpful replies, but confess to some concerns at what appear to be the numerous problems experienced by AS owners! Engines cutting out after overtaking lorries, water ingress, water pumps, etc. All a bit scary! Have we made the right decision?
Our caravan has an onboard water tank which we fill with an external pump, so the AS method is very familiar to us, and does not cause us any concern (except for an issue which I have referred back to the dealer - I won't mention it here, having read the rules (!) but I might post it in the appropriate place if I can find it!)
So, here we are, with our fingers and legs firmly crossed that we actually enjoy this motor home lark - but having won tickets to the Shepton Mallet show in September, courtesy of MMM magazine, we are off to a promising start.
Hope this intro was not too long - bye for now.

Re: Hello AS Forum people!
I’m sure you will have many happy travels with your autosleeper. Good choice! Just bear in mind there are many many owners who have few problems. No vehicle is perfect.....even from brand new, but most issues are small, easily fixed and there sure is an answer for everything on this site! For example....I’ve had issues with water ingress via rear doors.....all fixed now, but I haven’t come accross anyone else with the same fault.....it is a Peugeot problem not an autosleeper one and even Peugeot said it was rare, so don’t worry!
You might not be trouble free all the time, but there’s a fix!

Welcome from Ripon (on tour).
You have upset me though. If you've won tickets to Shepton, it must mean I haven't or I would have heard by now. Anyway, I've booked and paid now.

Re: Hello AS Forum people!
Welcome from South Wiltshire.
Personally I’d rather hear all the gripes and filter them. We have a 2017 AS Kingham, our problems from new are a mixed bag of Peugeot, AutoSleepers and Marquis.
Peugeot seems to be a common one and fixed quickly with no cost and little inconvenience.
The AutoSleepers issues should be dealt with by Marquis but they won’t accept what I say so it’s a PITA to go there let them look at it then return for another visit. All these issues should have been fixed before we collected the van. Broken toilet cassete, cupboards not clicking shut, microwave cupboard failing.
Know what I now know I’d have arranged a pre collection visit where I’d have given them a list before collection and expected a better handover.
Would I buy AS again, quite probably but I might shop around a bit more.
