I hope the person that witnessed it left a note on the windscreen!

I wish someone had had the decency to do that when my van passenger door got dented by some low life who scarpered. It had been at a garage for MOT and obviously done by one of their customers.
A friend of mine had the same experience, oddly enough on a Morrison's car park, but with his car. Some guy reversed into it while he was in the store, got out, looked at the damage then promptly drove off. BUT......two elderly ladies witnessed it and videoed it on their phone, then waited for my mate to return and showed him the vid clip....complete with vehicle reg number! He contacted his insurance soon as he got home and told them he had video evidence of the culprit!

Had my van bumped at home (we have to park on the road) three times and on no occasion did anyone own up, I was was getting on quite well with the man from Chips away. each time the repair was around £165.00 not worth chasing the insurance with a £200.00 excess.
Got to say this for chips away, they fix it anywhere you like the repair is covered for three years and did an excellent job (couldn't tell it had happened) I wouldn't have minded but I watched this women trying to reverse her small car into a gap big enough for a 7 meter hymer she had about four attempts and then drove off (or so I thought) then out of my sight she tried to drive in front of the van and destroyed the paint matched front bumper.
