What engine oil would you recommend to top up with. I have a 2013 Gloucester.

Re: top up
It will depend on if it’s Peugeot, Fiat or Mercedes
The information will be in one of the above handbooks
Alternatively if you go into a good motor accessory shop tell them the manufacture base vehicle is, date and chassis number it is they will look it up and sell you the correct engine oil

They should - but I would not trust many to be sure to get it right! As you've already said, the Owner's Handbook should be considered the definitive source for info like that.

Re: top up
My answer came from experience in that my oil light came on while away last year.
Perhaps I was lucky as the shop owner I used in Cromer looked it up, not sure if it was on line or a handbook.
Alternatively go to the main dealer of your Motorhome base vehicle, may cost a bit more but you will get the correct oil
