Site in Arromanches
Chris
Depends what you re looking for but the Municipal Site in Arromanches itself has everything you need and is only a couple of minuets walk to the town and beach

The Aire above Arromanche is ideal, it gives you a view across the remains of the harbour, and a walk down the hill into the town. If you happen to be there on June 6th the atmosphere is amazing and there is lots to see in the town square.

Lots of Aires in that area including one in the town adjacent to the sport centre. At Arromanches look for the 360° cinema on the cliff top - the film show made the hairs stand up on the back from my neck.

Re: French Sites
We have stayed on the Municipal site in Arromanche. Nice site with all facilities. The Aire in the town centre behind the municipal site was a bit of a tip, rubbish every were and some old vans that looked like they had been there for a while. The aire next to the 360 cinema is a certainly good for the views. The 360 cinema is very good but I found it a good plan to hold on to the rail, it is a bit disorientating until you get used to it.
