Hello Solent
Welcome to the forum :(Y) or (y):
Very handy to have someone on the IOW to turn to for info! We could have done with knowing you last year, when we lost our awning staying at Thorness Bay near Cowes!
Get some pics up of your Sandhurst for us all to see (Admin is adding new sections all the time)
Great to have another ASOC member here too, could do with a few more joining us!

Welcome Solent
I love the AS Sandhurst - If I were ever to swap my beloved Trident (and that's a very big if) and go for a motorhome then the Sandhurst is defineately the one I'd go for - I reckon it's the best looking motorhome out there
Is it nice to drive ?

Hi Stevo........I think cruizing comet is being cruel to you posting those pics....lol
Yes its great fun to drive and with the 174 hp engine its not slow. it,s my "big boy" toy and is fully loaded, I have fitted over 24 extras to it so far cant think of much else to add only cruise control which I plan to get fitted next month.
Only problem is as I understand it, the Sandhurst was too expensive for A/S to make and so you dont see many on the road. As far as I know there are only 5 others in the ASOC and I have only met two so far

Re: Hello from Solent
Hi Solent - do you know you only need to buy a new indicator/cruise control stalk and any VW garage/diagnostic specialist with VAGCOM can set it to work. Don't know the price for a T5 but a T4 complete switch is around £75 :D
..........Nice van by the way :D

Hi dandy
Thanks for that, I have been quoted £145.00 for fitting and talking to the ECU to accept it, by a firm in Portsmouth
A WV dealer quoted £330.00 plus VAT !!!!!
