Hi. I'm Joy & my OH is Rob, we pick up an AS Amethyst in around 10 days time. Totally new to motorhome/campervanning, as we've been caravanners for over 25 yrs but decided to try something different away from the 'faff' of caravanning now the children have grown up. Thought we should joint this friendly forum as I'm sure we'll need plenty of advice & maybe have a few questions once we get going. So hello (from Yorkshire folks living in Somerset) to everyone! wave

Welcome from Dunbar C&CC site (on tour). Also an ex caravanner of 25 years. Also needed to get rid of the faff.

from Leicestershire, also ex caravaner of 30 years, was also fed up with the faffing about, bought my Amethyst last Dec. after having two smaller AS MH`s lovely roomy van, you will love it.

Hi Margaret, Good to hear from another Amethyst/Ford owner. We're looking forward to a different kind of camping after caravanning for most of our lives (since being kids) Think we may need advice on some things when we get started!
