electric Omnistep drop. Stuck out!
My step is out and I cannot move it. I have checked the fuse but it is fine(swapped anyway).
I have looked at previous posts on this but the mechanism is not corroded or blocked.
I cannot find anything other than the fuse to check. I have tried starting the van as that should retract the step but does not! I also tried to get the main panel into settings but that does not work not sure if this is a new feature mine is a 2009 van.
Any suggestions welcome!

Do you have to roll the van forward a bit before the step goes in automatically?
I seem to recall on a previous van there was a sensor on the wheel (or somewhere??) which activated on the first revolution.

The motion detector was on the MES system. Is this system a Sargent PSU 2007 or EC325?

Then the step controls and fuse at in the EM50, a grey box on the back of the driver seat pedestal - is that the one you checked? There are no guides for the fuse Blades so it is easy to have one end of the fuse connected and the other not.
As I recall one side of the motor on the step is connected to the chassis, look to see if there are any obvious disconnections. According to the harness diagram, there is a 4 way connector between the wiring loom and the step.

Re: electric Omnistep drop. Stuck out!
Peter,
Thanks yes it is fuse 7 a 20 amp at the bottom of the first column of fuses and yes I did miss the terminal first try. A cable comes from the step up into the motorhome under the wardrobe I have not been able to work out how to get into look at any connector.
I think a previous owner has glued the wardrobe together.
I may have to give up and take it to a service centre.

Have you tried the connections on the manual switch to see if they are all connecting?

Re: electric Omnistep drop. Stuck out!
Hi thanks for the suggestions. There is a small unit behind the drivers seat that controls the 12v for the step it also houses the fuse. This appears to have failed being sent of for repair. Step now in but unable to use until repair completed.
Thanks Simon
