Fair Value Empty Fair Value

Post by Nicnaen Sun Apr 01, 2018 6:07 pm

I am considering trading my 2011 Nuevo ES. 130 bhp engine on Boxer base. Fully speced with 3 bike rack. No solar panel, single leisure battery etc. Full service history and hab history. No advisories. I have been offered £29k on a serious upgrade ( £47k purchase price). I’ve tried to check but can’t really get a feel. Any views on value and or advice where I can check. Dealer has confirmed he would try to sell on at c.£34/35k. PS Current mileage c.20000.

I usually go to the 'Completed Listings' section on eBay for anything I'm about to sell (cars or otherwise) it gives you a really good idea as to what you can expect.

I got £21k for my 2006 Nuevo against £32k purchase in December. My Nuevo was on their forecourt for £26k and sold in a week. If you're spending £47k I would want rather more than the £29k offered.

try and sell it yourself and then get some serious discount on the new van....you're being offered 'trade' so you should be able to sell it  for at least this and then haggle hard on the next van..
good luck..

Thanks to all who responded. I’ve taken the general view a walked away. Shame I liked the potential van, a very nice Pilote. Dealer was not prepared to consider any movement regarding cost of change. I’ll carry on looking. Thanks again
