We are a recently retired couple who have bought a pre-loved Autosleeper Warwick in which to tour the UK and Europe. We look forward to sharing our experiences and learning from more experienced motor caravanners.

I have just joined as I have an Autosleeper Trooper and could do with some expert advice, as there seem to be so many differing opinions on What "Leisure" battery type to use when the two batteries sit side by side under the bonnet! I don't want to get it wrong! We do a lot of "Rough Camping" and are heading up to Scotland at Easter but I have noticed the "Leisure battery" is not holding charge any more. It is at least 4 years old and is a Banner 57405 74Ah normal "starter" battery I think. Can I/should I replace it with a gel battery/deep cycle if I intend to add a solar panel to my roof in future???

Welcome to the forum Skunky  allthumbz

Sorry I can’t help with your query but there are many threads on here covering leisure battery issues. Most recently there was one on the technical issues section headed Marine Gel Batteries which you may find helpful. Otherwise, using the search facility will bring up several other options  up!
