Looking for a Nuevo EK
Seen one for sale (newly listed) at dealer reasonably near. It is a 2015,with over 21000 miles, asking £43000 .Would the mileage put anyone off? Can dealers share the contact details of the previous owner/let me see the Vehicle Registration document? I would want to trade in my Y reg Trident with 62k on the clock (needs a bit of tidying up but basically sound). Any comments would be appreciated. Thanks

what you have to ask yourself is do you want a motorhome which has been driven - and presumably used or one that has sat about gathering condensation?
to me the mileage is pretty irrelevant IF it has been looked after - serviced etc - what you are effectively buying is a delivery van designed and built to be driven 8 hours per day 5 days per week - it wouldnt be exceptional for a Boxer used as a deliver van to have over 100 000 on the clock after 3 years.
Neglect kills more vehicles than miles do
the interior 'habitation' side is another matter seat covers can wear out and sponge seats can collapse but these should both be fairly obvious to either the most untrained eye

I'd have thought he dealer would be obliged to show all documentation to a potential buyer, at the very least he should give you the VIN to HPI , the V5 will have the previous owners address on, 7k miles a year is just a couple of months of european touring a year and wouldn't bother me.

Just a quick comment. As has been previously stated, the mileage would not put me off. Make sure that you are able to look at the service history and other relevant information. Has the motorhome had yearly habitation checks? When was the last one and make sure that you see these records including the very important damp report.

Yes indeed, all very encouraging and relevant comments to give you confidence regarding this van. Furthermore, if we were in the same situation, we would need to satisfy that the condition both inside and out was nearest as possible like new with no irritating wear and tear especially on interior surfaces. Regards.

One easy way to help assess the general soundness of the van is to ask the dealer to include a free habitation check as part of the deal.
If he won't, walk away as he probably has something to hide.

Thanks for all these comments (my "thanks" button is not lit up). Hoping to progress with this van but no trade in for a 17 year old trident (however details/pictures circulated to trade contacts by the Nuevo seller). Last resort ebay but all takes time.

It's free to advertise on Preloved and Gumtree, always a good place to sell any van, especially a T4

You can only use thanks button once in a thread and you used it earlier.jetty wrote:Thanks for all these comments (my "thanks" button is not lit up).

Have a look at this Nuevo thread for info...I would suggest you get a full damp report on any proposed purchase....
Good luck with your search.
