Height of 2018 Nuevo ES wanted
Question on another forum. AS quote 3.005 Mtrs or 9' 10" (which equates to 2.997 if you Google a conversion. The asker wants to be sure it's not over 3mtr for ferry charges. So has anyone got latest model and exact height?

whatever the height, surely the figure on the booking form will be 'upto 3m'...or put 2.99m...
we are 2.89 and BF lady kindly checked how confident we were and if we wanted, we could go into the 'over 3m' queue.....which we did, obviously no extra cost....whereas if you put it on the form...
i thpught this was all about ensuring marginal vans dont drive into the lower height deck...
our bolero was a dot over 7m, i always put upto 7m...

I'm only going by what has been posted on other forum that there are digital measurers.

ah, but you didnt mention that.....lol.....however, at that close to 3m, different tyre pressures might be enough to tip the balance....
go on, live dangerously....

That has been suggested. I wouldn't know myself, the only ferry I've been on is to the isle of Wight.

AS quote 3.005 Mtrs or 9' 10" (which equates to 2.997
3.005 - 2.997 = 8mm, about 3/8" so possibly 9' 10 3/8", rounded down to 9' 10".
This is always the problem trying to use mixed units. (I know, I used to have to dual dimension drawings at times.)

If ferry companies are that precise, then AS should be aware of such and make the Nuevo fit under this limit, would anyone notice if overall height were reduced by 1cm.

If the manual says 3005mm then when loaded would lose 5mm easy.

Don’t forget the TV aerial, solar panel, any sticky- up radio aerials etc.
You pay no more if you declare your height as more than it is though you run the risk of being on an open deck on some BF sailings.

We have a 2017 Nuevo ES which is specified at 3005mm - have travelled with Brittany Ferries having booked as "Up to 3m"... no problem. I'm sure with madame and me in the front seats it will lose at least the 5mm.

Dont worry about the ferry measurements. But do worry for low bridges!

My satellite dome put me over the height dimensions for the Tyne Tunnel and moved me up a class despite being 3.5 t. It may just be a small margin but you could easily be caught out, if in doubt best to get up there and have the real overall height.
