Hi everyone
My name is Philip and my wife Nicola and I have been married for 34 years and for all that time we have been keen caravners. Our van for the last nine years has been a Buccaneer Argosy but last March I also bought an Auto Trail Tracker EKS as well.
I have found very quickly that I like Motorhomes much better and I've just about convinced Nicola to let me trade the Tracker for a Auto Sleeper Malvern, in fact we are going to view one this week.
Wish me luck
Philip

Hi Philip & Nicola
Welcome to the forum from Bridlington,
Your better of with a Autosleeper, we very nearly part exchanged our 59 Symbol for a Tracker last year, but the build quality of the Tracker fell well short of the Nuveo.
Good luck with the Malvern .

Re: New member
That was timely, the Auto Sleepers Owners Club Newsletter arrived this week and one of the committee members bought a Malvern back end of last year and he has put a brief write up in the latest newletter. He seems to rate it ok
FYI ASOC is not connected with this forum (their choice, not ours) but quite a few of our members are also ASOC members. When you get the van there should be an application form in it if the dealer hasnt taken it out

Thanks for the welcome
Thank you for the welcome and notes of advice. I bought the Tracker on impulse and we quite like the machine, however, when I drove it away from the dealers I regretted not having had a test drive (I wanted a test drive but there were more reasons/excuses from the salesman - flat batteries, no catalytic converter, etc. etc.). the main shock was all the rattles and squeaks. Having towed a caravan for thirty odd years you never hear the noises which surely must emanate during driving. But one learns from their mistakes and after hours of tracing and sorting most of them have been eliminated. There lies our dilemma – “we don’t want to jump out of the frying pan into the fire”, will the Malvern be the same or is the build quality much better? I must also say that another big reason to change is that I like the idea of a Mercedes Auto.

We have 3 friends who have bought different versions of these Auto Mercs and all have been impressed by the performance. From what I hear you wont be disappointed.

Change of mind
Well we've gone and done it, we ordered a new Autosleeper at the weekend but instead of the Malvern we've chosen the Worcester. We pick it up on the 3rd of April - can't wait!
