Hello all,

Joined as a prospective camper owner (hopefully next year) and the Autosleeper van conversions are definitely on the shortlist.

Hoping to find out more about the various AS models that were based on the earlier fiat/talbot base.

Cheers all

Belated Welcome wave
Re your search for a Talbot/Ducato - I had a Talbot based A/S Symphony prior to my present Neuvo. The Symphony was a great van with probably the best layout for a van of its size and well fitted when A/S used to fit 'hand made, cabinets etc' a neat use of space and clever features I think ahead of its time like the forward facing seat that converts to a bed opposite the pull out bed on the other. We also miss the side sliding door on ours. This van and also the larger monocoque body model will definately gain 'classic' motorhome status for well preserved survivors. Good ones may now be harder to find, just one word of warning from my own experience - probably be prepared to spend a little on the area particularly below the windscreen (rainwater scuttle drainage system) This was a well known weakness on the Talbots/Ducatos but a good bodyshop should sort it reasonably as they did mine. (If it is really neglected rain water can run in onto the dash electrics) I always think these older vans had more character than the newer models. Best of luck with your quest. Any questions further on the old model, post away, and will try to rack my brains back scratch head and I am sure others will join in.
