another first trip in a/s
Yes we did the first night in the ravenna, shame it rained all weekend! Went to Woodland caravan park in ashbourne that was beautiful nestled in the woods.
What we learned:
Take more socks and clothes/ shoes as when they are damp that's it
a couple of stones are great for levelling the cooker grill so the pans sit flat when you stop for lunch
The bed is very cosy and its very difficult to avoid placing a knee on ones wife when you clamber out for a midnight wee ( she now wants to sleep on the cab bed and leave me below)
The shower is great when you dont want to venture out
The travel kettle and mini hob were great on hookup
my 12v tv conversion worked a dream ( bought a s/h 15 inch led freeview tv on ebay and attached it to wall after some internal rewiring, it only takes 0.9A so is fine for battery)
The shower backfills a bit when driving it pops the plugs out so I bought some NR valves to fit
Close the toilet lid when operating the flap to empty it as the speed of the flap can flick liquid onto the face - dont ask
Other than that, everything worked perfectly, a testament to the great pre sale prep by fullers, nottingham.
We have been out for day trips every weekend and still happy with it, as complete newbies, been a learning experience.
I've done quite a few mods, which I will try and post up when I get the photos worked out.

Hi
Sounds like you had a good trip and are progressing up the learning curve without any disasters.
I learned to ensure the Thetford lid was down before opening flap too, after discovering that in hot weather the pressure in the tank can increase, causing a 'blowback'!
Look forward to hearing more about your mods, it's nice to gradually add them so it becomes a comfy home from home.
cheers
Roger

Moaning is easy . . . saying nice things seems to be much harder.
Not that our members whinge anything like as much as some do on other forums. Perhaps Autosleepers are one of the best after all!
