Introducing ourselves (& Mercedes Medallion)
Hello,
After living and working in various places, we are now retired and living near Glastonbury, Somerset.
Having graduated from, more recently, a folding camper and, years ago with the kids, camping under canvas and in mobile homes we have now acquired a 1997 vintage Mercedes Medallion. We took it for a trip recently and are very pleased with it. It appears to have been well cared for and will suit us we think.
The kids have now been replaced by two lively spaniels. It was with these in mind that we chose the Medallion as Rosie does agility shows with both dogs. Similarly I see it as a means of getting to, and spending longer at, various shows and festivals. That's as well as planning trips, and maybe going on some rallies.
We found the forum from the window stickers and references we saw when shopping around to find our Medallion, now christened 'The Ark'. Clearly these Auto-Sleepers are highly prized and attract friendly enthusiasts.

Hi Pandrlander, welcome to the Forum from a fellow Mercedes Medallion owner.
We have had ours seventeen years and still love it. If you have any specific questions or problems, I will be happy to help if I can.

Thanks Dave,
I see that you not only also have dogs but a garden railway as well!. I'm still reconstructing mine - 32mm live steam - after moving house.
Have you any experience of reversing cameras? (just asking for the missus).
Regards,
Peter

Re: Introducing ourselves (& Mercedes Medallion)
Peter, had a reversing camera retro fitted to my Mercedes SLK which is absolutely great. I have not fitted one to the motorhome though. There are occasions, particularly if on your own, when a camera would be a great advantage if having to reverse in a tight space.
