I'm afraid it's like many forums in that we hear a lot more about the negatives issues, but not so many times do people take the time to post the positive issues.

A point well made. You assume things will be ok so when they are you don't comment. Having said that I had some major issues with my van when new, but all now resolved (he says speaking very quietly). Just as a comment at least MMM do publish critical reports. Other MC magazines, and the ones by the two main clubs, always seem to have an eye on their advertisers and hardly say a critical word.harry h wrote:It is good to hear positive views of owners with new A/S motorhomes, but you do seem to hear and read a lot on this forum that A/S are not as well built as in the past.

Re: Owner report on Nuevo 2014 in MMM
I've had a chance to read the owners report in full and it seems a reasonable account of their experience with the Neuvo. We also had the hab door retainer fail and it was replaced FOC by the supplying company, it's obvious that there was a faulty batch. My door seals also fell off (yes both of them), took about three minutes to reattach and no problems since. The locker catches have been discussed many times on the boards so need no further comment.
They have legitimate reasons to feel aggrieved about other failures though, but I'm a bit bemused by the comments about it needing a separate shower. At for the toilet arrangement being uncomfortable, I'm 6ft 2in and not slim but have no trouble using the facilities.
There's nothing in this report that has changed my mind whatsoever. I would still go for the same van, although next time I'll go armed with a damp meter!

These issues are not uncommon on any new van, my good friend has just purchased a new Swift Bolero, he drove 200 yards down the road a week or so ago and the decorative strip that goes from the front of the body to the rear; peeled off....

Anyway, it's just put me off a late Nuevo with his list of faults. Some are Peugeots' problems, some Auto-sleepers. Certainly worth a read if you're considering a Nuevo.
Paul, a look at page 36 of the same mag will give you a clue about his identity. Not sure about the 2014/2015 discrepancy though.

Found his website..
http://www.davidchapman.org.uk/writing.htm
He writes regularly in magazines including CC and MMM. Can't see anything that would point to him being a member here.

Also on page 39 he says "We love the simple layout of our van. It's comfortable and packed with lots of mod cons"
